Obituary of Marianne Rooke Fairall

Marianne Rooke Fairall Hospital administrator, 55 Marianne was born in Summit on July 27, 1953. She graduated from Kent Place School in Summit and Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. She was in hospital administration and was employed by the New London Hospital in New London, N.H., for 10 years. For the past 14 years, she was on the board and held all chairs, including chairman of Havenwood-Heritage Heights in Concord, N.H., and was currently on the trust fund board. Marianne moved to Andover, N.J., in 1984. She volunteered many hours for her community, church and schools. She also ran the Andover Outing Club and then the Eastern Ski Jumping in Lake Placid, N.Y., for many years. She adored her three children. She is survived by her husband, Martin of Andover, N.H.; three children, Beth, Gwenn and Nicholas; her parents, Robert C. and Natalie (Davis) Rooke of Morristown; two brothers, Robert Rooke Jr. of Morristown and Thomas Rooke of Basking Ridge and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Marianne was predeceased by her younger brother, Christopher Rooke of New Vernon, in December 2002. Marianne Rooke Fairall died at the age of 55 at her Andover, N.H., home on Aug. 10, 2008. A memorial service was held to celebrate her life at the First Baptist Church in New London, N.H., on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008.
