Teaney, Darrel Francis 95, died at 6:54 p.m., Sun., April 15, 2007. Born Aug. 21, 1911 in Fayette, IL, to the late John A. & Edna L. (Cannedy) Teaney. He and Lelia Ruth Springman were married March 18, 1944 in Alton. She preceded him in death. Mr. Teaney graduated from Blackburn College and the University of Illinois. The US Army WW II Veteran was a cabinetmaker for Springman Lumber Co. in Alton. He was a long-time active member of Northside Christian Church in St. Louis. He is survived by a daughter, Carol Ruth Teaney of Godfrey, IL, a niece and a nephew.Services: Visitation will be today (Tues. 4/17/07) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at GENT Funeral Home, where services will be Wed. at 10 a.m. with Dr. Judith E. Ridlen officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorial may be made to the Northside Christian Church, 9635 Lewis & Clark Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63136-5236, The United Methodist Village in Godfrey, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
