Obituary of Susan Faye Butler

WENTWORTH -- Susan Faye Butler, 63, of Bullseye Curve Road, died July 15, 2010, at Speare Memorial Hospital, Plymouth, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Plymouth, May 13, 1947, to John Henry and Lucy E. (Hobart) Comeau. She has been a life long resident of the Pemi Baker Valley and Wentworth area.

She worked most all her life as a CNA and a caregiver for the elderly. She was employed by the former Gould House, in Plymouth, in the late 1980s. She then owned and operated Log Cabin Comfort, in Rumney, until her retirement in 2003.

IN HER LIFE: Susan was an outstanding citizen known for her caring ways and infinite love. She was a woman of strong character and endless optimism. Her absence will be felt by many far and wide and through out the Pemi Baker Valley.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James L. Butler II of Wentworth; son James L. Butler III; daughters Deborah L. VanLoon and Stacey M. Maddocks; grandchildren James L. Butler IV, Kenneth E. Maddocks III, Connor Ty Maddocks, Hayley E. VanLoon, Stephanie R. VanLoon, Olyvia J. VanLoon and Amber M. Butler; brothers John W. Comeau and Ronald L. Comeau; sisters Edna M. Coffin and Linda M. Comeau; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and infinite friends.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Highland Cemetery, Quincy Road, Rumney, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Edward J. Charest, pastor of Plymouth United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Mayhew Funeral Homes, in Plymouth and Meredith, are in charge of the arrangements.
