BROWN, WILLIAM C., b. Mar. 3, 1812; m. Oct. 10, 1839, Eunice Fisher. He entered williams College in 1833, but his health did not permit him to complete his course. He was a teacher for several years, and then was engaged in editorial work for about twenty years, having charge successively of the Vermont Telegraph and the Voice of Freedom, both being anti-slavery papers published at Brandon, Vt., and later he had charge of the Chicopee (Mass.) Journal.
