JAMES FRED EASTMAN. He was an engraver in Boston, removed in 1862 to Marysville, Calif., deputy county clerk in 1864, deputy county treasurer in 1868; treasurer in 1870-76; postmaster 1876-83; went in 1884 to Baird, Shasta Co., stock ranch; removed family to Napa, Calif., for school facilities; bookkeeper for Napa Woolen Mills.
