JACOB [EAMES]. Born in Woburn, Mass., Aug. 10, 1723; died in Woburn, Nov. 4, 1783.
Married (intentions dated March 15, 1748) Rachal, born July 31, 1724, died Aug. 26, 1795, daughter of Nathan and Hulda (Simonds) Wymon of Woburn, Mass.
He was a member of the East Company of Militia of Woburn, Mass., and entitled to a bayonet in 1758. He was a member of Capt. Ebenezer Jones Co., Colonel Gridley's Regiment, in service at Crown Point, from Sept. 15 to Dec. 17, 1755, and was a member of Capt. Jonathan Fox's Company, April 19, 1775, which marched from Woburn to Concord and thence to Cambridge, his term of service at that time being two days. As a member of Capt. Jesse Wymon's Company he contributed to the service, either in money or in person before 1777. He was taxed in the East list during the whole period of the Revolution.
