Gustavus, b. 1814, Jan. 25; d. March 9. Francis James, bap. 1815, Jan. 8; was in the Mexican War under Gen. Taylor, and in the Union Army under Gen. Banks; lives in Brownsville, Texas; and has been Mayor and is Judge of Circuit Court. At Santa Rosa, he owns a ranch of 54,000 acres, and has herds of 6000 to 10,000 cattle; unmarried.
